  1. Director – Person responsible for the entire artistic approach to a production. Stage Manager – Person responsible for everyone and everything in the backstage area. After Dress Rehearsal, this person takes over for the director.

  2. Casting – A decision as to which actor should play which role. The decision rests with the director. • Walk-on- A part where the actor walks on and off stage without having lines to say • Audition– A tryout for a role as a singer, actor, dancer etc. consisting of a practical demonstration of suitability.
