WHERE ARE THE OPPORTUNITIES • The public sector is one of the largest contributors (approx $400bn) to Australia’s economy – it’s ‘competiveness’ is critical • Judicious use of its very large procurement spend is essential • To balance: risks v’s gains for taxes spent • To play safe where obvious; to explore where not!
