  5. Daily Objectives • Students contrast Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence with Ho Chi Minh’s philosophy of violent resistance VS.

  6. Warm up • Imagine that the rules at Summit changed. • Teachers gave 5 hours of HW EVERY night • The school day ended at 5 pm • You are ALL required to come to school on Saturday • You couldn’t even eat lunch or have any breaks! • NOW, how would YOU fight back? Why is your solution good? Every solution is on the table (think back to the French Revolution!). Explain in 3-4 sentences.

  7. Gandhi vs. Ho Chi Minh • We are going to read two documents that describe Gandhi’s philosophy vs. Ho Chi Minh’s philosophy • We will do the first one together as a class, and you will do the second one in pairs • We will be practicing our historical thinking skill of the unit….CONTEXT!!!
