This project focuses on identifying and addressing operational waste within the organization. Through various problem-solving tools such as Five Whys and Spaghetti Diagrams, we aim to analyze current conditions and their impact on business performance. Our goal is to implement effective countermeasures that promote efficiency and align with our strategic objectives. We will develop a clear plan, including a timeline and responsibilities, to measure success and ensure follow-up actions are in place to track progress and address any unforeseen challenges.

A3: Guide Sheet Background Analysis • The actions to identify waste and root cause(s) of the problem. • How will we find the waste and root causes? • Who do we need to engage? • List some of the problem solving tools you will apply • Five Whys • Spaghetti Diagrams • Waste Walks • Why you are talking about it. • What is the business reason for choosing this issue? Current Conditions • Where things stand today. • What’s the problem with that, with where we stand? • What is the actual symptom that the business feels that requires action? • Show visually – graphs, drawings, maps, etc. Countermeasures (solutions) • Your proposal to reach the future state, the target condition. • What alternatives could be considered? • How will you choose among the options? What decision criteria? • How your recommended countermeasures will impact the root cause to change the current situation and achieve the target.
