Resources needed for AQ reporting Service contract to provide support to the Commission services in the preparation of Implementing Provisions under a new directive on ambient air quality Questionnaire distributed to the AQ data providers in the Member States (10th August 2010) to compare the efforts used for the present reporting obligations to the implementation of the obligations according to the IPR.

  3. Questionnaire Present AQ reporting obligations: • Annual AQ report 2004/461/EC (including amendments for 4th DD) • Monthly ozone reporting • Summer ozone reporting • Exchange of Information 97/101/EC (i.e. DEM) • Information about plans and programmes (2004/224/EC)

Conclusions • Estimates on thecostsfortheimplementationas well astheannualexpenditureforthenewreportingobligationsareveryvague, untilthecontentsofthe IPR arefinallydecided, anduntilclearinformation on thedata model andtheIT-technicalsolutionsfordatatransferandtheuser-interfacesarefairly well known. • Much workisdonemanuallyatpresent, especially in somesmallereastern MSs. • The new IPR mayreducetheannualeffortsforreportingbyupto 50% - but some MSs estimatethe same workloadaspresently.
