  3. Loudness • The loudness of a sound depends on an auditory intensity in the consciousness of a human listener.

  4. Similarity • An increase in the intensity of a sound of fixed frequency causes it to seem louder to the listener.

  5. Difference • Intensity of a sound can be directly measured by instruments but loudness cannot as it depends on the listener.
