  8. KEY PARTS OF THE PROCESS • The bill must pass through both the House of Representatives and the Senate • The President can sign the bill or veto it • If signed…it becomes law • If vetoed…it goes back to Congress (Senate and the House) and they can override the veto with a 2/3rds vote
