What do we do? “Our purpose is to provide workshop style sessions to work with customers & partners to review their current desktop deployment processes, their short and longer term goals, deployment blockers, perceived deployment issues and then relate these to the 'art of the possible', with reference to Microsoft's desktop deployment best practices and the infrastructure roadmap.”

  4. How do we do it? Invited to the UK Deployment Centre of Excellence for a BDD scoping and envisioning day. Following initial day, at a later date, invited back for a more focused specialised day covering selected topics such as:

A ‘typical’ day • Highly interactive day – focus on customer/partner pain points • Discussion of plans for next 1-3 years • Identify you are at in terms of deployment & what would be their deployment ‘Nirvana’. • Microsoft best practice guidance & BDD coverage • There is no ‘Typical Day’! No two sessions are the same

A ‘typical’ agenda • Meet in Building 3 @ 9:30 for 10:00 start • 10:00 -11:15 Description of current situation, issues & deployment ‘Nirvana’ • 11:15 – 11:30 Coffee • 11:30 – 12:30/13:00 High level overview of best practices aligned to customers current and desired states focused on cost reduction, stability & flexibility • 12:30 – 13:15 Lunch • 13:15 – 14:30 Detailed discussion of pertinent areas of BDD plus overview of tools & availability • 14:30 – 14:45 Coffee • 14:45 -15:30/16:00 Discussion of short term wins through adoption of BDD practices & tools • 15:30 – 16:00 Close

Who should attend from Customer/Partner? • Ideally 6 attendees from customer: • Deployment/IT Manager • Technical Person (AD implementation) • Technical Person (Systems Management person) • Technical/Managerial Person (Applictaion compatibility and packaging) • Technical Person (Build/Deployment)

  8. How to Arrange a CoE Session • Contact your TAM/Account team • TAM/Account team will engage with my team • Potential visit dates identified, and booked • We do the rest!
