  2. Cut, Copy, and Paste Text To cut and paste text: • Select the text. • Click the Home tab. • Click the Cut button in the Clipboard group. • Move the insertion point to the desired position. • Click the Paste button in the Clipboard group. Paste button Cut button

Use the Clipboard Task Pane To use the Clipboard task pane: • Click the Clipboard group dialog box launcher. • Select the text. • Click the Cut or Copy button. • Select and copy any additional items. • Move the insertion point to the desired position. • Click the item in the Clipboard task pane to paste it at the position. • Paste any other desired items from the Clipboard task pane. • Click the Clear All button. Insert Citations To insert a citation: • Position the insertion point. • Click the References tab. • Click the Insert Citation button in the Citations & Bibliography group. • Click Add New Source at the drop-down list. • At the Create Source dialog box, select the appropriate options and type the desired text. Insert Citations…continued To edit a citation: • Click on the citation. • Click the Citation Options arrow that displays at the right side of the citation placeholder. • Click Edit Citation at the drop-down list. • At the Edit Citation dialog box, type a page number or select an option to suppress. Create a Works Cited Page To create a Works Cited page: • Press Ctrl + End to move the insertion point to the end of the document. • Press Ctrl + Enter to insert a hard page break. • Click the References tab. • Click the Bibliography button in the Citations & Bibliography group. • Click the Works Cited option in the Built-in section of the drop-down list. Update a Works Cited Page To update a works cited page: • Press Ctrl + End to move the insertion point to the end of the document. • Click on any character in the works cited text. • Click the Update Citations and Bibliography placeholder tab. Edit a Source To edit a source: • Click on any character in the citation. • Click the Citation Options arrow that displays at the right side of the citation placeholder. • Click Edit Source at the drop-down list.
