  3. Install IW77 on wall • OR Install IW77 on rolling floor stand (Order code - IWSTAND)

  4. Install NEC Interact software

  5. Connect IW77 to the computer • Plug the USB cable from the IW77 into an open USB port on the computer. • How to determine if IW77 is connected? • The system tray contains a mouse/ stylus icon that will be white if the IW77 is connected. • If the icon is gray, system is not connected. Right-click on icon and select “Detect System” to connect.

  8. Calibrate the projection area Starting in the upper left-hand corner, use the interactive stylus to tap in the center of each of the red cross-hairs.

  16. NEC Interact Palette Selections • “Interactive Desktop” Toolbar - Main tool bar for when you are interactive. Allows for easy navigation to tools and programs. Call up your scrapbook, open PowerPoint, or quickly calibrate! • “Desktop Annotation” Toolbar (w/One Button Save!) - There when you want to digitally annotate! Even if your outside the Software, you can quickly make a note, correction, hold an impromptu meeting, just click on the pen icon in the Interactive Desktop and you are ready to annotate! • “PowerPoint” Toolbar - When presenting, this unique palette will help you navigate from slide to slide, quickly make notes, or highlight, while having the added power of not saving as you go! • “Interactive Scrapbook” Toolbar - When in our software, have access to the annotation and interaction tools, through this simple to use, customizable control panel.

  19. Using and Annotating PowerPoint presentations

  20. Opening PowerPoint • To begin presenting click on the PowerPoint icon from the Interactive Desktop palette. PowerPoint icon on the Desktop Palette.

  21. Select And Open A PowerPoint File • To A file directory window will open allowing access to PowerPoint files. • To Select the file that you would like to present. • To Click Open

  22. Opening A PowerPoint File • To Upon opening your presentation, the tool palette will change to the PowerPoint Palette • To The center of the palette will change to the PowerPoint icon The file will open in PowerPoint slide show mode

  24. Annotating your presentation with “Pen Tool” The pen icon is located at 12 o’clock Click on the right-side of the palette’s center to choose the pen’s thickness. Click on the left-side of the palette’s center to select the pen’s color.

  25. Annotating your presentation with “Highlighter Tool” The highlighter icon is located at 11 o’clock Click on the right-side of the palette’s center to choose highlighter thickness. Click on the left-side of the palette’s center to select highlighter color.

  26. Using Pen And Highlight Feature • To Once you have selected “pen” or “highlighter” tool the screen is now ready for annotation. • Write and highlight anywhere on the screen.

Annotating your presentation with “Shapes Tool” • Using the shapes tool allows you to add lines, arrows, squares, or circles to the slide. • Click the upper-left center of the palette to change shapes. • Click the upper-right center of the palette so change line thickness. • Click the lower-middle center of the palette to change the color.

  28. Advancing And Reversing Slides Choose the slide back icon to go back to the previous slide in the presentation. Choose the slide forward icon to move to the next slide in the presentation. NOTE: Advancing and reversing slides can also be accomplished with the buttons located on the pen stylus.

  29. Erasing Annotations with the “Erase Tool” • Choose the Eraser Tool to erase any pen or highlighter strokes • Note: You can also erase strokes after the presentation by selecting them as objects in edit mode and deleting them.

  30. Mouse Mode • Mouse mode is ideal for presenters who do not want to annotate their slide shows, but just want to use the stylus as a wireless mouse.

  31. How to Exit from Annotating PowerPoint Presentations • When you are finished with your presentation, the “Stop” PowerPoint Presentation button on the palette will end your slide show and take you back to edit mode.

  32. Setting Annotation Options To set your specific preferences for PowerPoint Annotations, right-click on the Desktop Palette and choose Options and then the Annotations tab. There are three choices: Always add objects to PowerPoint file. All annotations will automatically be retained as you change pages. They must be saved after the presentation, though. Always discard annotations Erases any annotations as soon as you switch slides. Ask me each time Prompts you whether you would like to save your annotations each time that you move slides. All of the annotations are part of the .ppt file. They will be erased if you don’t save them as changes to the original file.
