Naviance is an online tool designed to help middle and high school students research, identify, and select post-secondary and career options that align with their interests and strengths. By providing resources for self-exploration, goal-setting, college and career exploration, Naviance aims to equip students with the tools they need to become future-ready.

What is Naviance • Naviance is a comprehensive online college and career readiness tool for middle and high school students. Naviance helps students to research, identify and select post-secondary and career options that match their interests and strengths.
Why do we need Naviance? • Studies show that students who leave high school with a clear plan for their future are far more likely to succeed than those who see college as the logical next step but lack clarity as to why they are there. • 50% of students will drop out of college or will not complete a course of study within six years. • 20% of 26 year olds are either living at home or receiving some kind of financial support from parents. • 48% of students return home after college. • 44% are still there one year later http://vimeo.com/46506070
What is the purpose of Naviance in Junior High? • Help students understand themselves • Get students focused on future educational opportunities • Get students exposed to what careers are available • Give them the tools to help them become future ready
When will my child get access to Naviance? Schoolwide Goal 90% of students will complete ate least two Naviance Activities, guided by their counselor, by June 2016.
