Human trafficking poses a significant issue in Mongolia, affecting vulnerable populations, especially women and children. This crime involves the recruitment, transportation, and harboring of individuals through force or coercion. With 30% of the population being children under 14, they are especially at risk. In response, the Mongolian government has initiated awareness campaigns and established shelters to protect abandoned children and prevent their exploitation. This effort aims to raise awareness and reduce the occurrences of forced labor and abduction within the country.
