  1. Newsletter/Panui October 2014 We would like to: Welcome: Toby and Leya Farewell: Harihuri tau ki a koe (happy birthday) to : Ashlyn Kia Ora Koutou. Up & Coming Events Hamilton Zoo Trip Thursday the 6th November we are traveling to Hamilton Zoo. A big thank you to all those who helped cover the cost of the trip through our raffle, it was a huge success. Can you please have your permission slips and any money owing in by Friday the 17th October. Nigel Latta Nigel Latta will be presenting “The Modern Family Survival Guide” on Tuesday 28th October at Bethlehem Baptist Church @ 7pm. Tickets are $30 and available online from Eventfinder or call Creative Tauranga, Willow St. Children’s Christmas Party The Family Christmas Party will be held on Wednesday 10th December at Waipuna Park from 5.30-8pm. I will be sending home a notice soon. Calendars For Sale Its that time of year again when we are selling calendars. Please have a look at your children's art work for the calendars. Art calendar: $10 Photo calendar: $12 Cards: $12 Notepads: $12 Diaries: $15 Last day for ordering 24th October Bun Day is back. So please can you all bring something for our buns e.g. beetroot, tomato, cucumber, capsicum, etc. Thank you to all the Parents who have returned the Parent survey forms. We have discussed the outcomes at our staff meeting and are very happy with the results. There are a couple of suggestions that we will be working towards these are: Outside Area: We will be looking at ways to improve this areaand make it more inviting. Family Night: We will be having a family night in the new year. More Walks: We do a lot of walks during the day, sometimes we do not let parents know so we will write about our adventures on the sign in and out sheet or the whiteboard. Sports & Exercise Programme Survey Attached is an email address for a market survey which is aimed at parents of children between the ages of 2 & 6 years old, and consists mostly of multiple-choice questions. www.surveymonkey.com/s/W6ZJ6RN Our planning this month is a continuation of ‘spring’ while also involving our upcoming zoo trip, as we learn about different animals we may see there. • Policies being reviewed this month are, • Parent Induction • Personal • Teacher Only Day • Teething • These are situated on the front desk so please read, comment, and document any changes you would like to see.
