Dr Nivedita has done stints as a radio jockey at the All India Radio, volunteered at the blind association, organized health camps in villages and anchored a health show on Doordarshan. • Her interests are spread over myriad realms and in her free time, she likes to listen to music, read books and travel. Her favourite city in the world is Varanasi, which she adores for its ancient history, the mesmerising ghats and the magnificent Gangaaarti. There are many types of doctors, for example, eye specialists, child specialists, neurosurgeons, etc. But in this article, we are going to talk about gastroenterologists and hepatologists. Firstly, let us find out who are gastroenterologists and hepatologists. Q. Who Are Hepatologists? Hepatologists are the specialist in the branch of hepatology. 5. Q. Who Are Gastroenterologists? Gastroenterologists are the doctors who are the specialists of the digestive system. They study many parts of the human body, for example, the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (colon) that’s why if you are suffering from a problem related to the digestive system then you should make an appointment with gastroenterologists. If you have hepatitis, then it is tough to choose which doctor you should choose for your treatment, Gastroenterologist or Hepatologist? They both are highly qualified for liver diseases but the manner of treatment of both the doctors is different. A gastroenterologist is a doctor board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. During the course of gastroenterology they do a two to a three-year internship in gastroenterology, after doing this they are able to cure the disorders of the digestive tract organs (liver stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, and small intestine). Now Let Us Talk About The Difference Between Gastroenterologist And Hepatologist:

  6. On the other hand, Hepatologist is a doctor who is a specialist of the liver organ as well as the associated organs of the liver like the pancreas and gallbladder. If you thought that there is a certification exam for a hepatologist then you are wrong because it does not have a certification exam, but in this course, a person has to do one to two-year intense fellowship in this training a haematologist receives great exposure to the broad range of the liver problems. If you are suffering from liver diseases in Jaipur then don't worry because there are the best hepatologists in Jaipur that are available online at a very economical fee. But if you are suffering from advanced liver disorders then you should visit a transplant hepatologist because they are trained so that they can easily manage the advanced disorders of the liver and they can also transplant your liver without any difficulty. These are the differences between a gastroenterologist and a haematologist, now you can easily decide on which doctor you should go to for the treatment of hepatitis. According to my opinion, you should go to hepatologists because they are the best for liver-related diseases but if you do not have any hepatologist in your locality then you can go to a gastroenterologist for your treatment. But if you live in Jaipur then don't worry because there are the best hepatologists in Jaipur who are experienced and easily available online.
