  1. Different Types of Hair Loss and Their Treatments

  2. Introduction Everyone suffers from hair loss, the only difference being that for some it can be acute hair loss and for some it is normal hair loss. Acute hair loss often occurs due to genetic factors, hormonal imbalance, lack of nutrition, and other similar reasons. Sometimes, acute hair loss is diagnosed to be Alopecia. Some of the essential features of the two different types of hair loss and subsequently their treatments have been discussed in the following slides.

  3. Pattern Hair Loss Male pattern baldness is the primary cause of acute hair loss in ninety five percent of men and women. This baldness can be attributed to genetic factors. However, sometimes male pattern baldness can be triggered by external factors like stress, smoking, medications, and pollution. However, male pattern baldness or alopecia can be treated with the help of laser and Minoxidil. This treatment strengthens the hair follicles and stimulates hair growth. This is one of preferred treatments for hair loss and you can see improvements within two months of the treatment.

  4. Normal Hair Loss This type of hair loss does not require any treatment. Under normal hail loss, you would be losing twenty to thirty strands of hair every day. After every two to six years, hair follicles shed the hair and go into a resting stage for three months. After that, normal hair grows back without the help of any external stimulants.
