  4. Student Transition Programs and Residence Life Successfully Launch Delphi, First Year Experience Living and Learning Community

  5. Recreation and Sports Services received the 2008 NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators) Excellence Award for their Culture of Learning Initiative. This initiative focused on the intentional development and implementation of Student Learning Outcomes in conjunction with Recreational programming and student employment.

  6. Best of CHOICES Alcohol Education 1998-2008 Counseling and Wellness Services “You Have Choices” program was featured in the NCAA Best of Choices Alcohol Education 1998-2008 publication. The UWF program is one of ten programs nationally to be featured in this publication highlighting model alcohol education programs from the past decade.

  7. The National PanHellenic Council, Inc. of the University of West Florida received its charter on January 26, 2009.

  8. The Counseling Center staff handled the highest volume of cases and demonstrated its expertise in working with challenging situations

  9. The Dean of Students successfully implemented the Campus Critical Case Team

  10. UWF Participates in National Surveys to Measure Engagement UWF Participated in the 2008 BcSSE, 2009 NSSE, and 2009 FSSE to measure Student Engagement. Results will be available in the Fall.

  11. Throughout 2008-09, over 2,000 students registered and completed over 68,000 total service hours through Volunteer UWF!

  17. Women’s Tennis 20-8 (4-1 GSC) 10th GSC Title in Program History NCAA Regional Finalist

  19. - 50th overall Gulf South Conference title, most among all active GSC schools - Fourth straight GSC Women's All-Sports Trophy, fifth in last six years - Five GSC championships and 10 NCAA postseason appearances - 11 of 13 teams advance to postseason 2008-09 Recap UWF Athletics Building Champions for Life
