  2. Why Vanguard? It is a Christian school I need to study theology My first major is mathematics My second major is human biology and science.

Admission Requirements: • Application • High School Transcripts (GED) • Academic and Pastoral References • SAT’s and ACT scores Application Process: • Submit the undergraduate application for admission to the Office of Admissions. • Include a $45 (non-refundable) application fee. • Letter of recommendation from Pastor of church, youth leader

  4. Are you able to test out of any classes based upon scores? (I couldn’t find the answer in any website) What does it mean to be on “Probation”? Being on probation means if you do something or one last thing (that goes against the rules of the school) you will be expelled

  5. Accepted/Rejected • 79.4% accepted incoming freshmen were accepted in the previous year • 20.6% were not accepted

  6. Degree requirements/ prerequisites Since my majors are mathematics and human biology and science some of the requirements of course are: biology, math, and chemistry.

  7. Math Requirements Some of the major requirements for math are: pre-calculus calculus I and II linear algebra numerical analysis probability and statistics higher geometry

  8. Pass/Fail Classes The classes that you can take as pass or fail are elective classes. Classes Available On-line • Online available classes: • Psychology • Ministry • Leadership • Religion (biblical studies)

  9. Difference between BA & BS The difference between BA and BS is that BS is Bachelor’s of Arts and BS is Bachelor’s of Science. A Bachelor of Arts degree would take you to a major of art that has to do with liberal arts or other. A Bachelor’s of Science would be great for you if you are majoring in science, medical or doctorates. What does my major allow for? What one of my majors allows would be a Bachelor of Science, because I want to study human biology and science.

  10. What GPA is needed to graduate for my major? The GPA needed to graduate for my majors is a 3.5 GPA Where can you receive help on campus? There places on campus where tutoring takes place, such as the library.

  11. Academic Advising Academic advising is a program that helps students unlock their potential and ways of learning, to identify their future goals and studying areas. Their majors and career plans. Academic advising can be with a teacher or the counselor.

  12. Required classes and electives I plan to take: Math Biology Chemistry Psychology Theology Study Basketball Art Music

  13. What will I do with my degree With my degree, I will keep studying mathematics and human biology and science. I wont just go straight looking for a job, I will continue my education and learn more until I finish my career.

  16. Budget/Job/Finance Tuition Rate = In-state = $22,986 Out-of-state = $22,986 Much of my need will require probably over this rate, because it would take more for me if I want to become a pediatrician or any other medical or biological major, career.

  17. Other Expenses Other expenses such as book and supplies would take up to $1,314.

  20. Financial Aid Financial aid is needed for those who cannot afford to pay for their classes and those who are in need and need help to create their future dream career, life, job, etc.

  21. Where do I plan to live? I plan to live in my house, because that way I save up more money and later on I can live on campus, which can benefit me in many ways.

  22. Living Expenses My living expenses are: food, clothes, laundry, rent, electricity, and gas.

  23. Whom will I be living with? If I were to live in a dorm, on campus, I would probably be living with a junior or senior.

  24. Jobs available as a student Jobs that are available as a student at Vanguard University are being tutors, babysitters, doctor assistant, and more.

  25. Are there conditions for underclassmen to live on campus for a certain number of years? NO conditions for underclassmen.

Do the courses that you are taking also fill the conditions of your second major? • Yes they fill part of my second major because medicine and engineer both have to do with mathematics, calculation, science and many others. What is the procedure of changing majors? To change your major change your classes to the once that benefit your major.

  29. Summary • What I learned from this project was that I got to know the university I want to attend more and the steps and requirements I need to be accepted.
