  2. frequency adverbs & time period • we normally use the present simple to talk about habits and routines. We usually say the frequency of the habit or routine. In other words, we say how often we do something. Example:- 1 - I sometimesgo shopping on Thursday morning. 2 - She always visitsher family on Monday.

  3. Always 100% Usually 90% Often 50% Sometimes 50% Never0% The followinglist shows the mostcommonadverbs of frequency, with the onethatreferstothingsthathappenmostoften at the top, and leastoften at the bottom:

  4. Sometimes and usually can also come at the begining or the end of a sentence. 1 - I usuallyhave toast for breakfast. Usually I have toast for breakfast. I have toast for breakfast Usually. 2 - She sometimessees you down at the shops. Sometimes she sees you down at the shops. She sees you down at the shops sometimes.

  5. Never and always can’t come at the beginning or end of a sentence. 1 - I alwaysbrush my teeth before I go to bed. Always I brush my teeth before I go to bed.✕ I brush my teeth before I go to bed always.✕ 2 - He nevesmokes cigars. NeverHe smokes cigars. ✕ He smokes cigars never.✕

  6. Adverbs of frequency comes between the subject and the verb. But with verb "to be", the adverb normally comes after the verb: • Ali occasionallyvisits us on Sundays. • I’malways busy. • Reem is oftenill in winter.

  7. frequency adverbs with Verb Be : [ am, is, are ] Frequency Adverbs come AFTER a BE verb. 1 – I amalways a good student. 2 – My brother isusuallylate to school. 3 – Mona and Fatimah areoftenin the library after class. 4 - Reem is often ill in winter.

  9. Using like & love When we use the verb like or love followed by verb. We add –ing to the verb. Examples:- 1 – I like cooking. 2 – She loves listening to Quran. 3 – He likes playing football.
