‘Core’ NMET • Nursing & Midwifery = £60M • AHP = £31M • Scientific & Technical = £31M • Clin. Psych. = £7M • Pharmacy + Non-Med Prescribing = £4M • Dental = £4M • OD and Leadership = £1M = £138M
Engagement Process • June 15 Launch event for Directors • Detailed workshops and network meeting outcomes (June – Sept) • Draft priorities for health communities (Sept) • Workforce planning forum in each PCT (Oct) • Draft Education Commissioning Strategy (Nov) • Education Commissioning for 2011/12 (Dec)
Team Priorities Review of: CPD provision, costs and access Salary support costs (+ linking to national work on this) Quality processes coupled with Return On Investment (ROI) Joining up OD / Leadership and other directorates in the SHA with our work More regional consistency and rationale for historic funding
Creativity and reducing waste Staff empowerment through: • Embedding learning in practice • Team training • Changing culture through learning • Realistic expectations • Senior support for making time to manage and develop
