  2. Bicycles - Vietnamese had to use bicycle infantry. The bicycles enabled the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army to continually resupply their forces even in the worst situations. - The Viet Minh used it against the French in Dien Bien Phu.

  3. NVA Uniform -The North Vietnamese Army were in blue, grey, purple or brown cloth and they seemed to be “Cottage Industry” produced. They were to made to one pattern. The NVA also had another kind of shirt which seemed like a flak jacket and these uniforms were very rare.

  4. VC Uniform - The shirts and trousers are black cotton “Pajama type” - The shirts can have shades of gray, brown, tan, and blue

  5. Weapons/vehicles of NVA -T.J

  6. ZSUs-T.J. The ZSU series consist of anit air vehicles. They are produced by the Soviets. Used for taking out ground troops was just as easy as taking out aircraft.

  7. RPG-7-T.J. Cheap anti tank grenade launcher. Requires virtually no practice. Used for taking out armoured targets and structures but is primarily used to cause disruptions/confusion. Very useful in enclosed areas. Produced by the Soviets.

  8. Simonov-T.J. Produced by the Soviets. Easy to use. Typically produce rifle called SKS Soviets supplied weapons from the simonov series to North Vietnam

  10. What is Ao-Dai? (A.B) -Ao-Dai is a Vietnamese national costume, now most commonly worn by women. It is a tight-fitting silk tunic worn over pantaloons. - It was worn by the upper-class

  11. Nu oc Mam (A.B) -Nu oc Mam is used in Vietnamese cuisine as a flavoring agent, dipping sauce, and dressing for countless dishes. -Nu oc Mam consists of fish sauce, lime juice, water, crushed garlic, and chiles.

  12. Sampan (A.B) -Sampan is a relatively a flat bottomed Chinese wooden boat. -Some have sharp bows, and nearly all have large sterns. -Usually open or partly decked with a shelter or cabin. -Vietnamese used it to hide weapons, and ambush PT boats

  14. NVA Uniform The NVA’s uniforms importance to the war was that it can be used more effectively in guerilla warfare tactics The effects on the troops was that they were able to fight off the americans in an effective way

  15. NVA Footwear The NVA’s footwear helped keep the Vietcong’s feet dry from the rainy terrain of Vietnam The effects on the troops was that they were able to fight a more effective battle in the rain

  16. NVA Booby Traps The NVA’s booby traps were able to surprise americans The effects on the troops was that the Viet Cong could call their own attacks with the booby traps

MiG-21 It is a Supersonicjetfighter aircraft Russian in Design it is the most-produced supersonic jet aircraft in aviation history and the most-produced combat aircraft since the Korean War, and it had the longest production run of a combat aircraft Some 50 countries over four continents have flown the MiG-21, and it still serves many nations MiG-21 first saw action with Soviet client states such as North Vietnam

  20. MiG-21 Cont. North Vietnamese pilots regularly flew the aircraft against American opposition MiG-21 was effective in high-speed, hit-and-run attacks. This approach worked particularly well against American F-105 Thunderchiefs which were tasked with ground support missions. Due to the MiG's success, both the US Air Force and US Navy developed fighter training schools to improve dog-fighting skills.
