  1. Harry Potter vs. Hari Puttar • In late August of 2008 Warner Bros. sued the makers of the Bollywood film Hari Puttar. Warner Bros. said that the film was “identical and deceptively similar to popular trademark Harry Potter.” • The makers of the film refute the charges and say that the title means God’s son and is not a resemblance of the film Harry Potter. • The court has stated that the name is not a violation and will be allowed to be released. The case has generated much publicity for the recently released film.
