The modern game of tennis originated in the United Kingdom in the late 19th century as lawn tenniswhich has close connections to various field and lawn games as well as to the ancient game of real tennis. The rackets were very basic • Most historians believe that tennis originated in France in the 12th century, but the ball was then struck with the palm it wasn’t until England made the racket in the 19th century that tennis was truly invented • There was only one major open the Wimbledon Beginnings of tennis

  7. The tennis today is now played around the world • The rackets are more advanced now • There are four huge opens now Australian Open, The US Open, The Wimbledon, and The French Open Present Day Tennis
