Kelly Carling prd. 3 Loneliness Friendship makes life more meaningful Nobody wants to be lonely their whole life Some people only need a friend to survive In Of Mice and Men, many of the characters are seeking friendship. Candy lost his dog who was his only friend, and becomes depressed. Curleys wife is constantly trying to get someone's attention because she's tired of being locked up in a house all day but it only leads her to trouble, and death.
