  16. Listening Comprehension Read page 36-39 As John talked about the new nation, Samuel imagined what statues of the first leaders of the nation would look like. In his imagination he saw statues of John Adams, John Hancock, and George Washington. All of these statues showed the men on horses. This is a way that the statues were similar to each other. By identifying this similarity, I compared the statues to each other.

  17. Build Background-Compare and Contrast Retell the story up to this point – the main events in the plot. Use your role cards to tell the story in order. What is blues music?
