  2. He Has Given Us a Visionfor Life • Paul begins this chapter by looking back before time • He now moves to how things will end • God has made known to US the “mystery” of His will

  3. He Has Given Us a Visionfor Life • “that the universe might brought into a unity in Christ.” (NEB) • The plan begins to be seen in Ephesians (2:13-16) • It will come to conclusion some day (Phil. 2:9-11)

  4. He Has Given Us a Visionfor Life • This is a great vision of security • Paul is in prison as he is writing, yet he has confidence regarding his life, his destiny and who is in control • How do we react when life throws us a curve?

  5. He Has Promised Us anInheritance • While it is a promise about the future, it is written to give us confidence and peace in the present • 1 Peter 1:13-14 • Nothing can take away what has been reserved for us

  6. He Has Sent to Us a Person • 1:13-15 • Arrabon– pledge • In our language we might think of a down payment

  7. He Has Sent to Us a Person BLESSED ASSURANCE JESUS IS MINE!
