  2. Introduction, Overview and Implementation Schedule Focus of this training will be to: • Introduce the 2013 C&MS • Describe the significant changes with a focus on the changes that may require design consideration

Introduction, Overview and Implementation Schedule • The 2013 C&MS was published 12/31/2012 • Associated documents published 12/31/2012: • Proposal Notes • Supplemental Specifications • Supplements • Associated documents published 1/18/2013: • Standard Construction Drawings • L&D Manual updates

  4. Introduction, Overview and Implementation Schedule • The most significant changes were made in: • Items 603, 604 were replaced by Item 611 • (To be covered by Becky, and Gary) • For all Concrete items, replace Class C, S, F • with QC-1, QC-2, QC-Misc • (To be covered by Craig, and Jim)

Introduction, Overview and Implementation Schedule Currently all documents, including the Item Master are available on the internet Conversion guidelines: www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Engineering/CaddMapping/cms_conversion/Pages/2013_CMS_Conversion_Page.aspx Item Master: www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/ContractAdmin/Contracts/Construction/Forms/ItemMaster.aspx C&MS, PN, SS, S: www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/ConstructionMgt/OnlineDocs/Pages/ProposalNotesSupplementalSpecificationsandSupplements.aspx Please note that all projects with an award date of 12/23/2013 (sale date of 12/12/2013) or after must be converted to the 2013 C&MS with no exceptions.  The first SS800 for the 2013 C&MS will be dated 4/19/2013 The last SS800 for the 2010 C&MS will be dated 7/19/2013
