Lunar eclipse can happen only during the full moon. • There are 2 types of lunar eclipse: • Total lunar eclipse: when the moon passes through all of Earth’s shadow. • Partial lunar eclipse: when the moon passes through part of the Earth’s shadow. • Would lunar eclipse happen if Earth were larger? How might it will be different if the Earth were smaller than the moon?

  11. Solar Eclipse • Solar eclipse the moon moves between the sun and Earth the sunlight will be blocked from earth the moon’s shadow will fall on Earth Solar eclipse. • The sky will be dark . • Do people in a large area on Earth see each total solar eclipse? • No, the moon’s shadow falls in a small part of the earth’s surface.
