Keep opened items in plastic bags or screw-top jars. Inspect food for spoilage before use. Use foods before they spoil or are out of date. Rotate food NAMB Family Preparedness

  19. Family Preparedness • Sheltering your family. Use your home if possible. Evacuate the area if possible. (Plan your routes). Stay with family or neighbors. Use a shelter sponsored by ARC or your church. Use camper or the tent in your Family Disaster Kit. If necessary use your van or automobile. NAMB Family Preparedness

  21. Family Preparedness When disaster strikes! Keep calm and institute your Family Disaster Plan. Turn off your utilities. Help others and provide leadership. Inspect your surroundings. Seek information (Radio, TV, government officials). Provide information to government officials. Secure your shelter or evacuate the area. NAMB Family Preparedness

  22. Family Preparedness When will the next disaster happen? Are you and your family prepared? Is your church prepared? What will you do as a result of being here today? NAMB Family Preparedness
