  2. What is New Innovations? • New Innovations is a web-based educational management system for medical schools and residency programs. • As first-year students, you will use the Evaluations module. • Third-year students also use the Logger and Scheduling modules.

  7. Logging In https://www.new-innov.com/Login/ You will be prompted to change your password after the initial log in.

Course and Faculty Evaluations • You will use New Innovations to complete required evaluations. • You will receive e-mail notifications about evaluations. • The timely completion of course and faculty evaluations is a COM requirement. (Please refer to your syllabus for details). • Once entered, all evaluations are anonymous.

  12. Exiting New Innovations • Hover over your name at top of home page screen. • Click on Log Out. • You also can check for messages or change your password here.

Course Exams - ExamSoft™ • ExamSoft™ is a proprietary software system that allows exams to be created, administered, and scored electronically. • SofTest is the module you will use to securely take exams on your personal laptop computer. • Completed exams are automatically uploaded back to a secure server. • As a tutorial, a mock exam will be given: Friday, August 9, HG611 @ 1:00 p.m.

SofTest Module • You will receive an e-mail instructing you to download (and register) your copy of SofTest • You should install SofTest on the laptop you will be using for course exams (Mac/PC) • Your ExamSoft username is the first part of your UK e-mail address (e.g., student34@uky.edu) • Your initial password is randomly assigned – and contained in the introductory e-mail. You will be prompted to change it upon initial log in.

Student Exam Reports • Individual reports summarizing your test performance are sent to you electronically (youremail@uky.edu) in *.pdf format. • At your discretion, these can be printed off and used during post-exam review sessions. • Post-exam revisions may be made to correct poorly-performing test items; as a result, this exam reporting process may be repeated or delayed slightly.

Exam Contacts • For questions regarding exam reports, contact Amy Murphy-Spencer (amspenc@email.uky.edu), 323-1196. • All questions regarding actual tests, content, test scores, or course grades should be directed to respective course directors. • Please read each course syllabus carefully to identify exam dates/times, grading schemes, etc.
