In my critique of "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins, I award this book a well-deserved five stars! This gripping conclusion to the Hunger Games series elevates the action and suspense to new heights. Katniss Everdeen, having escaped the oppressive Third Quarter Quell, finds herself in District 13, the heart of the rebellion against the Capitol. As the Mockingjay, she faces heart-wrenching challenges, fierce battles, and the ultimate fight for freedom. With nuanced characters like Gale, Peeta, and President Snow, this narrative captivates with its emotional depth. My alternative ending offers a twist to a bittersweet conclusion, leaving readers wanting more.

Critic's Corner If I were a critic I’d give this book FIVE STARS! This is a great book. I’ve read the series and, they are all good books but this one is the best. If you like action and suspense this is a book for you.
Summary In this bookKatnissEverdeen who has just escaped the Third Quarter Quell (the 75th Hunger Games). She was rescued by district 13, which was said to be extinct after the Capitol bombed it. Katniss said to be theMockingjaywhich is the symbol of the Rebellion. Katniss and District Thirteen are trying to over-throw the dreaded Capitol. As a result, there is a lot of fighting, causalities and mass destruction. You’ll have to read the book to find out more.
Characters The main characters in the book are Katniss and Gale. Some other characters are Beete, Hymitch, Prim, Prim and Katniss’ Mother, President Snow and Plurtach Heavensbee.
Alternative Ending If I got to choose how the book ended it would just be a little different. First of all when the Rebeliongot to the Capitol I would have written that the Capitol had killed Peeta. Then towards the end Katniss would kill President Snow, and then Katniss would live the rest of her life with Gale.
