  1. Unit 3 INVESTIGATING WASTEWATER3.8 ACID-BASE NEUTRALIZATION May 31, 2011 AIM: How many drops of 0.1% HCl does it take to neutralize 8 drops of 0.1% KOH?

  2. NEUTRALIZATION • A process in which a base combines with an acid to form a neutral solution acid + basewater H+ + OH- H2O • Neutralization is the result of mixing equal numbers of particles of acid and base so that the acid and base properties cancel each other out.
