  2. Keeping safe Learner Induction What do we mean by safeguarding? • Safeguarding is about keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe from a wide range of potential harm, and looks at preventative action, not just reaction • Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility

  3. Keeping safeLearner Induction • To ensure a safe environment for learners and staff it is essential that we can easily identify everyone who is in college. • It is mandatory to have your ID pass on show at all times. • Your ID pass is needed to get into the college

Keeping Safe Learner Induction It is recognised that some learners may be the victims of neglect, physical, financial, sexual or emotional abuse Other harm that some students may experience include: • forced marriage • grooming • domestic violence • bullying and cyber-bullying • self-harm • homelessness • discrimination

  5. Keeping safeLearner Induction If you feel unsafe or if you have a safeguarding concern about someone else? You can report this to any member of staff or call 07921 675 361 to speak to a member of the safeguarding team The number is on the back of your ID card
