  2. Professional Readiness Exam You MUST pass the PRE to get into the teacher education program at Alma College The test includes 3 subtests: • Math • Writing • Reading You must pass all three subtests. You may take one or all three tests on the same test day.

  3. You do not have to take a subtest if… • Math – ACT 22 or MME 1116 • Reading – ACT 22 or MME 1108 • Writing – ACT 24 or MME 1129

  4. The Math Test • 45 multiple choice questions • Paper-Based or Computer-Based • Topics include: Qualitative Literacy & Logic Algebra & Functions Geometry & Trigonometry Statistics & Probability

  5. Test Make-Up • 20% Quantitative Literacy & Logic • 30% Algebra and Functions • 30% Geometry and Trigonometry • 20% Statistics and Probability

  6. Sample Question A sphere is inscribed in a cube. If the volume of the cube is 64 cubic inches, what is the radius of the sphere in inches? • 2 • 3 • 4 • 6
