Enhancing Language Skills through Tandem Learning: A Pilot Project Overview

This project overview presents a pedagogical initiative focused on third language learning via Tandem-Skype sessions. Over three years, it involved 300 tandems and extensive data collection, including audio recordings and questionnaires, across five EU partners and two associate partners from China. The study evaluates the effectiveness of language sessions in Spanish and German, emphasizing intercultural experiences, task design, and employability outcomes. Key insights reveal the importance of student engagement and feedback in optimizing learning experiences and the evolving role of educators.
