The Research Question: • 1) What proportion of research funded by CIHR, from its first year in 1999 to 2009, went to mental health and illness research (MHIR); • 2)How much of this subset (MHIR) can be considered mental health vs. mental illness research; and • 3) How much of this subset (MHIR) is neuroscientific vs. non-neuroscientific research?
