Mughal Artwork • typical Islamic artwork from the Mughal period. • from the beautifully decorated mosque of Wazir Khan in Lahore, Pakistan. • built in 1634 during the rule of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan • a period acknowledged as the golden age of Mughal architecture in the subcontinent. • It was during this period Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz.
