  4. Character revelation the author reveals that Rudy is afraid of Franz Deutscher.When he and Liesel were walking home from school, they went in a different directions to avoid walking in the same path as him.

  5. Character revelation #2 The author reveals that Viktor Chemmel have a good memory, he doesn't forget things easily. When Rudy spat blood and saliva at viktor’s feet, Viktor threaten Rudy. He told Rudy that he will pay for it and he did.

  7. Figurative Language: Idiom Idiom: An expression that does not mean what it literally says “‘Look.’ She pointed. Deutscher was loping toward them with another Hitler Youth leader. Rudy shrank into himself. He felt at his mending eye”(Zusak 300).
