  2. As I observe the painting, I see a little boy , who’s dressing in black. The boy looks like he could be about 7-8 years old. He have white skin, almost like pale and blue eyes. His face’s expression look like he’s really angry but somewhat innocent at the same time. I think this is an example for child labor. Because of the bad economy and families were underpaid, they would make everyone in their family to work to make sure that everyone is fed. Some children had to worked for over sixteen hours a day in an extreme dangerous work condition and get pay nearly even enough. Children’s eyes are supposed to be holding the innocence and care-free. But the one in the picture, his gaze is full if worries, exhaustion and fear. The gaze of a kid who is overburdened of life, who have too many responsibilities for his family.

  3. The Nazis’ reaction would be that the boy is a pure Germany character trait because of his blue eyes and blonde hair. It was also just an excuse for Hitler to kill the Jews, because most of the Jews has dark hair and brown eyes. Children during the Holocaust were treated cruelty and injustice. Especially the Jewish children, they didn’t get to go to school and even when they do, the teaching method that was using is to call the student up and point out their distinguishing features. The children were also forced to live in the ghetto with their family, the living conditions were horrible. As for child labor, most of the kids who were being put in concentration camp had to do heavy work for long hours including mining and carry heavy stuff.
