Was there one thing (incident) in particular that may have contributed to you not passing? Did you take advantage of the tutoring offered in the Developmental Math Tutoring Lab? Did you like the text book that was used? Did the instructors teaching method have an effect on how you did in the class? Complete the following: EOP student? You must complete the application process for readmission within established University deadlines for consideration of future readmission. See accompanying “Frequently Asked Questions” and consult current University Catalog for more information. Catalog updates and curriculum changes may alter the conditions for readmission. Contact the Advising Resource Center/EOP (ARC/EOP) (if your intended major is undecided) for clarification of readmission conditions, 818-677- 2108. • You must declare a major if you have completed 60+ units at time of requested readmission • Minimum Conditions for Readmission Consideration • Complete General Education Basic Subjects: Written Composition Mathematics Critical Reasoning and Oral Communication • Maintain 2.00 or higher grade point average in all courses completed since the last disqualification. Higher grades may be required as conditions for readmission or for meeting CSUN, total and upper division major GPA’s required for graduation. • Lower division course requirements in GE, Title 5, and the lower division major may be completed at a community college, with a maximum of 70 units that may apply toward the 120 total units required for the bachelor’s degree. See www.assist.org for course equivalencies. Consult community college advisor for partial or complete CSU GE Pattern for Certification.Grades received for coursework taken at other institutions will not raise your CSUN grade point average.Complete the following courses. Can you think of other creative ways, besides calling, email, and sending post cards, to contact students?

  7. Recapture data from 2005 • Our office started with 913 undecided first time freshman in the fall semester of 2005. • From that group we had 79 students disqualified in spring 2006, 24 disqualified in the fall of 2006, 26 disqualified in the spring of 2007, 21 disqualified in the fall of 2007. • A total of 150 students from the group of 913 undecided first time freshman were disqualified over the course of four years from fall 2005 to spring 2007. Success rate: • We were able to recapture 65 of the 150 students disqualified from the original group. Challenges include: • Locating students whose contact information has changed. • Making sure students meet the requirements for returning to the university before the university’s deadlines. • After students declare a major, following their matriculation to see if they make it to graduation
