  4. Barack Obama • Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Hawaii to a Kenyon father and a mother from Kansas. Barack Obama wanted to do something big. He went to Harvard Law School. After graduation, he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago. Soon after, he was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1996. He was then elected to the United States Senate in 2004. Later on, he became the first African American President of the United States.

  7. Newt Gingrich Newt Gingrich was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. With his father serving as a soldier, he grew up admiring his country. He also realized the major importance of history. He loved it so much that he worked until he got his Bachelor’s degree from Emory University and Master’s and Doctorate in Modern European History from Tulane University. In 1978, he was elected into Congress from Georgia. He served in Congress for twenty years, four of which he served as the Speaker of the House. Later in 1999, Gingrich was appointed to the United States Commission on National Security/21st Century, the Hart/Rudman Commission to contemplate more successful security ideas. Newt Gingrich is an active Republican.

  10. Ron Paul Dr. Paul was born in Pennsylvania, graduated from Duke University School of Medicine, and served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force in the 1960’s. He moved to Texas in 1968 with his wife Carol, where he established a medical practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist. He has delivered more than 4,000 babies and has five children and eighteen grandchildren of his own. In the 1970’s and 80’s, he served in Congress, where he served on the House Banking Committee. He believed in a strong monetary policy and advocated a return to the gold standard. He also was a critic of the inflationary policies of the Federal Reserve. In addition, Dr. Paul has always voted for limiting the constitutional government, lowering taxes, the free market system, and is a strong advocate for right-to-life issues. After voluntarily relinquishing his Congressional seat in 1984 to further his practice of medicine, he returned to Congress in 1997. He currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. He has written several books and is known for his “Founding Fathers” ideals.

  13. Rick Santorum • Rick Santorum was born May 10, 1958, in Winchester, Virginia, moving to Pennsylvania when he was young. He and his wife Karen have six children. He was educated at Penn State, the University of Pittsburgh, and Dickinson School of Law. He served as a Pennsylvania State Representative from 1990-1994, and was a U. S. Senator from Pennsylvania from 1995-2007. Serving on the Senate Armed Services Committee, he recognized the threat of Iran and other Middle Eastern powers. He stood for pro-life issues, lower taxes, and deregulation of business. In addition, he has been known for his strong stance against same-sex marriages He advocates ending legal abortion and the instituting of aggressive enforcement of immigration laws. In addition, much of his legislative career was spent in promoting the rights and betterment of populations in poverty-ridden countries.

  16. Mitt Romney • Mitt Romney was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 12, 1947. Mitt Married his wife, Ann, in 1969 and had five sons. He was never a career politician, and spent most of his life in a private sector. Mitt was elected Governor of Massachusetts in 2002, and helped rebuild the state’s economy.

  19. Rick Perry • Rick Perry was born on March 4th. He grew up in Paint Creek, located in west Texas. His father was Ray Perry and his mother was Amelia Perry. He has a sister whose name was also Amelia. Rickenrolled in Texas A &M University in 1968 and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science in 1972. In 1984, he represented rural Texas in the Texas House. He also became the Agricultural Commissioner in 1990. In 2000, he became governor of Texas. Rick Perry was the 47th governor of Texas and announced his run for president on August 13, 2011.
