In this checkpoint report for Team QuincunxCS, we outline our ongoing progress and unresolved issues related to basic graphic techniques in 3D game development. Key areas of focus include importing models from Google SketchUp into Blender, implementing lighting and texture mapping, and addressing collision detection challenges. While we have made strides in basic lighting and sound, complexities in texture mapping and artificial intelligence remain. Team members are actively working on bump mapping, mipmapping, and enhancing the in-game menu.
