Nomination Cycle Information • As part of the recent Rate Case, Nicor Gas is adding an Evening Cycle. • Two nomination cycles will now be available; Timely and Evening. • The Evening Cycle is voluntary; you can choose to only nominate on the Timely Cycle. • You must continue to balance Timely Cycle nominations by 11:30 a.m. CST on the day before the Gas Day. • The deadline for fax nominations will continue to be 8:00 a.m. CST. • The deadline for the Evening Cycle nominations to Nicor and the pipelines is 3:00 p.m. CST on the business day before the Gas Day.

  6. Timely Cycle • You must continue to balance Timely Cycle nominations by 11:30 a.m. CST. • The Timely Cycle nomination process (including Batch nominations) has not changed.

  8. Prior to Schedule & Allocation - Balanced View the Nominated Column to determine if you are in balance.

  9. Timely Cycle – Schedule and Allocate The Nicor Noms Administrator will schedule and allocate at 11:30 a.m. CST.

  10. After Schedule & Allocation - Balanced View the Scheduled and Allocated columns to determine if you are in balance.

  11. Additional Gas Volume • Additional volume for incremental physical deliveries will be posted by 1:00 p.m. CST. • The volume posted is the total amount available across all suppliers and all pipelines for the Evening Cycle. • When you are nominating on multiple days, the capacity for all days will display. The amounts can be the same or different. • New nominations or changes to existing nominations that do not include a change to the physical deliveries will not be included in the Additional Gas Volume amount.

  13. Additional Gas Volume – Prior to 1:00 PM 20,000 is the total amount available for all suppliers across all Pipelines for incremental physical deliveries in the Evening Cycle.

Evening Cycle • Any physical delivery that comes in after the 11:30 a.m. CST Timely Cycle deadline will be part of the Evening Cycle. • The deadline for the Evening Cycle nominations to Nicor and the Pipelines will be 3:00 p.m. CST. • The Nicor Noms Administrator will confirm the pipelines as soon as practical after the 3:00 p.m. CST deadline.

  16. Evening Cycle Nominations Nominations can be completed via batch and on-line.

  17. Batch Nominations on the Evening Cycle • Upload a batch file nominating 0 (zero) for all of your Timely Cycle nominations. This will “zero out” your Timely Cycle nominations, so you do not receive a false MDCQ error message for end users.

  18. Batch Nominations on the Evening Cycle • Upload a second batch file with all the cumulative amounts of your Timely Cycle and Evening Cycle nominations. • Ex: You nominated 75 to an end user in the Timely Cycle, but want to increase that nomination to 600 in the Evening Cycle. Your batch file will have a nomination for the full 600 in the Evening Cycle.

  19. On-line Nominations on the Evening Cycle • Enter the cumulative amount of the Timely and Evening nominations. • Ex: You nominated 50 to an end user in the Timely Cycle, but want to increase that nomination to 400 in the Evening Cycle. You will nominate the full 400 on the Evening Cycle.

Evening Cycle Nominations • Three Evening Cycle Nomination Scenarios • Updates to nominations that were completed during the Timely Cycle only. • Nominations on paths that were not utilized during the Timely Cycle only. • A combination of nominations on paths that were not utilized during the Timely Cycle and updates to nominations that were completed during the Timely Cycle.

  22. Evening Cycle Nominations – Scenario 1 • Updates to Nominations that were completed during the Timely Cycle • All current Timely Cycle nominations and updates to Timely Cycle nominations will display in the Timely Cycle section.

  23. Prior to Schedule & Allocation – Updates to Existing Nominations Only View the Nominated Column to determine if you are in balance.

Evening Cycle Nominations – Scenarios 2 & 3 • Nominations on paths that were not utilized during the Timely Cycle only. • All current Timely Cycle nominations will be copied to a section entitled “Current Nomination Not Scheduled/Allocated.” • Evening Cycle nominations on paths that were not utilized during the Timely Cycle will also display in this section. • A combination of nominations on paths that were not utilized during the Timely Cycle and updates to nominations that were completed during the Timely Cycle. • All current Timely Cycle nominations will be copied to a section entitled “Current Nomination Not Scheduled/Allocated.” • Updates to the Timely Cycle nominations and nominations on paths that were not utilized during the Timely Cycle will display in this section.

  26. Evening Cycle – Schedule and Allocate The Nicor Noms Administrator will schedule and allocate at 3:00 p.m. CST.

  28. Volume Adjustment Process • If the nominated amount of physical deliveries exceeds the additional volume posted, volume adjustments will be required. • If volume adjustments are required: • The Nicor Noms Administrator will send an e-mail to the “General” e-mail group after 3pm. • Everyone who nominated additional physical deliveries on the Evening Cycle will need to lower their volumes. • Pull your Pool Summary Report on the Evening Cycle to determine the volume adjustments.

  29. Pool Summary Report – After Volume Adjustments View the Scheduled & Allocated columns to view the adjustments.

  30. Volume Adjustment Process Change your nominations to correct the pool imbalances.
