Aim of Improved H-mode session

Aim of Improved H-mode session. Improved H-mode is developed in each device towards ITER hybrid and steady-state operation scenario. In this session, recent progress of improved H-mode from JT-60U, JET, AUG, DIII-D, NSTX will be reported, and projections of this mode to ITER will be discussed.

  1. Aim of Improved H-mode session Improved H-mode is developed in each device towards ITER hybrid and steady-state operation scenario. In this session, recent progress of improved H-mode from JT-60U, JET, AUG, DIII-D, NSTX will be reported, and projections of this mode to ITER will be discussed. Development of improved H-mode clarifies underlying physics. Hardware in ITER is different from present devices. Key operation and key parameter for obtaining the improved H-mode in present devices are applicable to ITER? ITER : NNB(1MeV, 0.5MeV?),-heating Present device: PNB (<100keV) Torque input, central fueling, Te/Ti, NBCD,,,, are different Aim of this session is to discuss the methodology of obtaining improved H-mode to ITER.

  2. Characteristics in various improved H-mode towards ITER operation
