OPTRES Effective and cost-efficient policies are needed to support renewables in a liberalised European electricity market • Insight into successes and failures of support schemes • Green-X model to determine costs and benefits of policy options • Definition of “best practice criteria” for support schemes • Important feedback to European and national policy makers www.optres.fhg.de

ENERGY EFFICIENCY WATCH Initiated and supported by more than 30 members of the European and national Parliaments Expected results: • Parliamentary network • Communication platform on energy efficiency for Parliamentarians, industry and others • Evaluation of National Energy Efficiency Action Plans to show best and worst practice • Complements the evaluation of the European Commission
