  3. Interest Meeting Agenda I. Overview of scholarship • Student must travel to a country in which the language s/he is studying at Penncrest is an official language • Student/family must select a program of at least 3 weeks • The program may be homestay, or in a school setting; • Student/family is responsible for due diligence in evaluating the travel abroad program/organization

  4. Interest Meeting Agenda II. Language immersion • Cultural appreciation • Self-confidence/appreciation • College applications

Interest Meeting Agenda IV Application process • Submit all parts of the application by 10/19/12 • Interviews – November 29th (student and parent) • Notification – by letter the following week • Student/family research programs (notify Mrs. Riviere when selected) • Checks distributed March/April • Contact Mrs. Riviere with an update during the summer • “Sell” the program at the Interest Meeting next September and at the WL Fête in the Spring

Forms and deadlines- http://www.rtmsd.org/page/1023 • Distribute forms to guidance counselors and teachers; ask them to return forms directly to Mrs. Riviere • Complete and return student and parent statement with the application form • Students: FOLLOW UP to be sure that all forms are submitted NO LATER than the application due date. (late applications will not be considered for the scholarship)
