  1. Keep Access To Your Building Under Your Control

  2. Your office must be secured from any unauthorized entry. There may be many entry points to your building including those for vehicle entry. You must always ensure that all the entry and exit points are monitored and you are aware of who is entering and exiting. Handing over the job to security may not suffice because human error is always possible. Modern technology allows you to make sure that your office is completely secured. The best way to limit access to your building is to leave the access control of turnstile to technology. This will restrict entry to only authorized persons and also regulate the flow of people.

  3. Control Entry Into Your Premises • When many people are entering your office or factory building it is difficult to control the crowd and ensure that only authorized persons are coming in. This is especially true during office opening hours and closing times. People will want to come in quickly and make their presence known so that they are not marked as late. This could result in a rush at the gates. It is at these times that criminals and unauthorized persons enter the building. You must control the access to the building as well as regulate the flow of people. The tripod turnstile gate mechanism is the most common method used. • The main advantage of the turnstile access control is that it allows only authorized persons inside or outside the building. The gates are available in different types. You have the tripod gate which is most common. You also have waist-high gates and full height turnstiles. These systems work in different ways. Some gates open when a card with a magnetic stripe is swiped. Other models work on biometric reading. Depending on your requirement you can program the turnstile gates. You can have them work only in one direction or in both directions.

  4. Know Who Is Entering The Building • There are different types of building access control systems that are used by many companies to control the entry of people. These systems are installed to protect the company and its employees from people who may come inside to disrupt the activities or steal valuables. With an access control system, you can restrict entry and also have a record of who has entered the building at a particular time. These systems can record the time of the entry of every person passing through them. • Card access control systemsare also available for vehicles. Buildings that need heightened security only allow their authorized people to park vehicles. Some apartment buildings also allow only residents to park their cars in the parking lot and the entry is restricted using an access control system. Every person who is authorized to enter the building is given a card which can be swiped to gain entry. When the card is scanned the parking lot barrier will rise to allow entry of the vehicle. Once the vehicle has entered the gates close again.

  5. Types Of Access Control Systems All access control systems work by opening the door when the authorized person is identified. There are different types of door access control systems that can be used to restrict entry into the building. The most common method is the card access system. The authorized people are given a card with a magnetic strip that identifies the person and allows entry. There is also the PIN access system where a PIN is used. The biometric reader is the most secure access system. SourceURL: https://sites.google.com/view/alarm-systems-sg/home
