Designing a Sustainability Impact Sheet for Procurement: Guidelines and Objectives

The Sustainability Impact Sheet aims to guide procurement staff at Gloucestershire County Council in prioritizing sustainability. It seeks to enhance awareness of potential environmental and social impacts associated with procurement activities. The sheet is designed to be user-friendly, featuring a clear layout, hyperlinks, and integrated assessment criteria for pre-qualification and tender questions. Launched in March 2011 and made mandatory from April 1, it emphasizes the importance of senior buy-in and effective communication for successful implementation and compliance through the established sign-off processes.
