  1. Y. Karadzhov MICE MICO First EMR Plots • EMR detector has been successfully incorporated in the MICE DAQ system . • First 3 days of data taking in MICE Beam (30/06 – 02/07).

  2. Y. Karadzhov MICE MICO Time distribution of the EMR hits • Leading Edge Time of the EMR hits is shown in blue and the spill width (as measured by the DBB boards) is in read. All events in the run are accumulated. • Left: time distribution of the EMR hits inside the spill window. • Right: zoom over the end of spill.

  3. Y. Karadzhov MICE MICO Typical event • The time of theEMR hits is in blue, the time of the Particle Trigger signal (as measured by the DBB boards) is in red. • 31 Particle Triggers in this event.

  4. Y. Karadzhov MICE MICO Not so complicated event • Only 4 Particle Triggers in this event. • Even in this event we can’t associate the EMR hits with some of the received Particle Trigger signals.

  5. Y. Karadzhov MICE MICO Conclusions • First EMR data tacking exploiting the MICE DAQ system and MICE Beam channel was successful. • All components of the detector and the electronics performs as expected. • The data unpacking software was debugged and now gives reasonable results. • Long way until the complete understanding of the detector is ahead. • Suggestion: it may be useful to have data with only one Particle Trigger per spill.
