UNO Inclement Weather Closure Policy Overview

The University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) will decide on closing due to inclement weather by the Chancellor or their designee, in collaboration with a designated Weather Emergency Committee. Decisions will be made by 5:00 a.m. to ensure timely communication. Local radio and television stations will broadcast closure information, with KVNO Radio 90.7 FM providing updates at 6:15 a.m. For further details, please contact the University's information line at 554-2800 or visit the emergency weather policy page.

  2. Closing • The decision to close the university because of adverse weather conditions will be made by the UNO Chancellor or their designee in consultation with a Weather Emergency Committee to be established by the Chancellor

  3. Inclement Weather overnight • A decision to close the University will be made no later than 5:00a.m. • Metropolitan radio and television stations will air UNO closing

  4. Inclement Weather Oversight con’d • KVNO Radio 90.7 FM will announce UNO closing information at 6:15a.m. • University Information line, 554-2800 will carry closing information
