  15. Blog Writing Waste No Time in regrets-Start again Life is a flight from start to end-a struggle for survival from womb to the tomb. Man is doomed to a life of contradictory forces-love and hate, happiness and unhappiness, pain and pleasure, difficulty and ease. Struggle is a constant element of human life, a hall-mark of being alive and an act of wrestling with difficulties, trials and tribulations. Life is not at all smooth-sailing; it proceeds by fits and starts. You can observe the operation of this great rule in your own life. Sometimes all goes well, things work out as per your plans, the progress is rapid and your morale is high and your enthusiasm aglow. Then suddenly you run into sluggish phase. Obstacles crop up, delays occur, progress comes to halt and your enthusiasm wanes. We must recognize that these bad patches are part of natural order. Eventually the success comes to that person who keeps on working like a blaze and striving whole heartedly even when he can see a very dim light of hope. Out of sight things are slowly shaping themselves in these bad times. Suddenly a breakthrough results in a fine period of progress.

  16. For successful achievement and fulfillment, a single objective must be chosen and attained over a period of time. • But beware sometimes we feverishly hold on our ’prized’ defeatism when it would be much better to let the dead past go and start again the process of • reconstruction of their shattered thinking. Otherwise our problems would keep on baffling us. We will go on deluding ourselves with a misleading notion • that it is brave to hold on. Perhaps it is. But will it not be sensible to switch over and restart. Our struggle should be result oriented. If it’s not showing results , we must revise our thinking and strategy. We should not hold on simply because withdrawal will hurt our pride. • In sum, it is better and braver to admit defeat temporarily and launch efforts when the conditions are favorable. A wise general knows when to retreat. He never let his pride stand in his way. A temporary withdrawal injects a new direction, a new enthusiasm, a new meaning in life and a new awareness of one’s capabilities. • Rekha Mahajan (PDP) • Applied science and Humanities
